Foster’s Is Back With Brad, Dan.....And Lucy!
Thursday, April 26th 2012
HEINEKEN is unveiling the seventh execution in its Foster’s Good Call ad campaign, which shows No Worries agony uncles Brad and Dan dispensing their pearls of wisdom to their first female caller.
Created by Adam and Eve with media planning and buying through MediaVest, the new 40-second execution which breaks nationally on May 7, shows the duo from Down Under being surprised by a plea for help from ‘Lucy from Manchester’.
She complains that her boyfriend thinks the world revolves him and that he’s always doing something else – when all she wants is a little attention.
While she bemoans her boyfriend’s lack of consideration, Brad and Dan are clearly unmoved as they undertake a number of personal pursuits, which include reading books, pouring a pint of Foster’s, tuning the TV and a game of tennis. Totally oblivious to their lack of focus, Lucy continues to pour out her troubles.
Nic Casby, Brand Manager – Foster’s at HEINEKEN said, “Our latest execution brings a new and amusing slant to the campaign and taps into a universal insight that most men and women will relate to. The humour is derived from the way that Brad and Dan deal - or fail to deal- with Lucy’s boyfriend dilemma, but still end up looking like helpful heroes.”
The advertising is part of a multi-million pound marketing campaign for the brand which encompasses TV, digital and social media, outdoor, sponsorship of the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and more than 100 hours of Channel 4’s Original Comedy programming.
