HEINEKEN, the UK’s leading beer and cider business, has appointed Ogilvy & Mather to handle the creative work for premium lager brand Kronenbourg 1664 after a four-way agency pitch managed by AAR.
Bruce Reinders, Brand Director-Premium Lager at HEINEKEN said: “We were very impressed with the quality of the strategic thinking and creative work developed by Ogilvy. This wasn’t an easy brief to crack. With the work that we’ve seen, we believe that not only will consumers continue to respect Kronenbourg 1664 but for the first time in a long time they will emotionally engage with the brand too!”
Hugh Baillie, CEO, Ogilvy & Mather added:"We are thrilled. Kronenbourg is a great tasting beer with huge potential as a brand. It is also a wonderful creative opportunity for us in the UK and we can't wait to get the work out."
The Kronenbourg 1664 account was previously handled by BBH. Current media planning and buying arrangements through Starcom MediaVest are unchanged.
