John Smith's Adds St Leger to It's Racing Crown

Doncaster racecourse is toasting an exciting new racing partnership with John Smith's, the UK's No 1 ale and leading racing sponsor. As the newly installed Official Beer of the Town Moor track, John Smith's will sponsor the opening day of the 2014 St Leger Festival and the John Smith's Extra Smooth May Hill Fillies Handicap along with selected races through the season – beginning with the John Smith's Extra Smooth Maiden Stakes on March 30 at the course's popular William Hill Lincoln meeting. The new agreement includes prominent branding at all of the track's top C4 televised race days including the Racing Post Trophy and the November Handicap.

Lawson Mountstevens, Managing Director-On Trade at HEINEKEN, John Smith's brand owner, said: "The sponsorship will amplify our presence and build on the four-year supply deal we sealed in 2013 that installed HEINEKEN's unrivalled range of draught and packaged ciders and beer on the bar at ARC's 15 racecourses around the country.
