HEINEKEN has today been announced as one of the best places to work for marketers.

The leading cider, beer and pub business is the name behind some of the UK’s most loved brands including Foster’s, Strongbow, Birra Moretti, Bulmers and the eponymous, name above the door, Heineken® beer.

Run by industry title, Marketing Week, the study looked at publicly available data, as well as surveys with thousands of marketers and first-hand engagement with employers.  It today named the top 15 employers to come out of the research.  The respected magazine says being named on the list “represents recognition for those companies that have put energy and investment into their employer brand, and a benchmark against which other employers can compare themselves.”

Cindy Tervoort, marketing director at HEINEKEN says: “Not only do we have some of the UK’s most loved beer and cider brands, but our marketers consistently push boundaries and generate world-class marketing in an environment where we focus on growing our people, providing unrivalled opportunities and have a strong wellbeing strategy for everyone in the company.  And above all that, our marketing team is based in the heart of the West End which helps spur creativity and ensures we are always top of our game with campaigns.”

Jane Brydon, HR director at HEINEKEN added: “Every single one of our brands benefits from first class marketing support – from people through to the investment.  We know our colleagues are above all the most important part of business and we provide an environment which allows our teams to thrive and be creative. Our mantra is attract, inspire and retain, with our two strongest assets, our people and our brands!  We want the best talent working for us, and in return, we provide career progression, fantastic opportunities and significant emphasis on the wellbeing of our people.  In fact we have just launched our wellbeing strategy which puts emphasis on the physical and mental wellbeing of our 2,000 colleagues. We are really excited to win this – and it comes just two months after we were named a UK Top Employer for the sixth time in a row by the Top Employers Institute!”

HEINEKEN was recently awarded the prestigious Cannes Lion Award for most creative marketer of the year and has in the last week, gained worldwide praise for its Worlds Apart advert.
