MARTIN PORTER PROMOTED TO HEINEKEN EUROPEAN ROLE

Martin Porter, HEINEKEN’s off-trade managing director in the UK, has been promoted to the new role of Senior Director European Off-Trade and Global Customers, based in Amsterdam. Martin has led the off-trade commercial function in the UK for the past six years.

 

Simon Amor, currently UK/Ireland sales director of Colgate-Palmolive, has been appointed to replace Martin, and will commence his new role in October.

 

David Forde, HEINEKEN’s UK managing director said: “We wish Martin the very best as he continues his HEINEKEN career in an international role. Martin championed a strong customer focus in the UK which has been recognised in our strong Advantage Group Survey results. The delivery of multi-year trading deals and strategic relationships with many of our major trade partners is testament to the great work of the team.”

 

Martin will report directly to Stefan Orlowski, European Regional President. He will be responsible for delivering the revised Off Trade Strategy for Europe to drive growth with Global Customers across all channels.

 

Simon Amor has over 20 years’ experience across the retail and FMCG industry. He started his career as a graduate with Sainsbury’s where he spent several years in product management and buying roles. He joined Colgate-Palmolive in 1999 and worked in a number of customer roles within their UK commercial organisation. In 2007 he relocated to Switzerland as European Customer Development Director for Colgate's European division, managing the relationships with global and regional customers. In 2011 Simon moved to Colgate Australia as Sales Director.
