HEINEKEN has announced the appointment of David Flochel as Managing Director, HEINEKEN UK.

David joins HEINEKEN from the Selecta Group, Europe’s leading unattended self-service retailer, providing coffee and convenience food solutions in the workplace and in public spaces and serving over 10 million consumers a day.

During his four years as CEO, David devised and implemented a successful growth strategy built on consumer and customer insights and which embedded people, culture, sustainability and innovation in the delivery of bottom-line results.

David joins with significant experience in consumer goods and business services across Europe and North America. He previously held several senior roles in FMCG including at Unilever, and more recently as Regional President in Europe and North America of the Mars Drinks segment at Mars Inc. 

His appointment is effective 1 January 2021 and he will take over from Simon Amor who has been operating as Interim Managing Director for HEINEKEN UK since the departure of David Forde in July 2020. David will report to Søren Hagh, President Europe, HEINEKEN and join the Europe Management Team.

Simon Amor will handover to David during the early part of 2021 while reverting to his position as Off Trade Director, HEINEKEN UK.
