Lawson joined Grand Met Brewing as a graduate trainee in 1990 before embracing a range of commercial roles with Scottish Courage and Scottish & Newcastle. His numerous roles with HEINEKEN have included Sales Managing Director Courage East, Sales Managing Director National Sales and most recently Managing Director, On Trade. In 2016, following the decision to appoint a dedicated Management Team member to lead Star Pubs & Bars, Lawson stepped into the role and recently fronted the multi-million pound acquisition and transfer of nearly 1,900 Punch pubs into our estate.

Marta Martins Pinto joins from SCC-HEINEKEN Portugal where she’s been HR Director since 2019. Prior to joining our Portuguese OpCo, she worked forBurberry, the luxury goods company, and previously held HR roles in Aviation (NetJets) as well as several consultancies across Europe. With an extensive track record in designing and leading transformational agendas, Marta will shape and lead HEINEKEN UK’s people strategy which includes leadership and transformation capabilities, inclusion and diversity, and health and wellbeing for colleagues. She joined HEINEKEN UK on 1 April 2022.

Following two years as Brewery Manager at HEINEKEN Manchester, during which time he was at the forefront of the brewery’s multi-million pound transformation, Matt joined our Management Team in August 2018. Prior to HEINEKEN, Matt spent 20 years with Carlsberg where he held numerous senior supply chain roles in the UK, Greece and Malaysia, as well as a number of production-related positions. A Diploma Master Brewer and graduate of Heriot-Watt University, Matt has spent his entire career in the brewing industry.

James joined HEINEKEN in March 2020 from global attractions operator Merlin Entertainments where, as Corporate Affairs Director for four years, he led the development of the function and its integration into the wider business, culminating in the transaction to take Merlin private. He has 20 years’ experience in Corporate Affairs in both in-house and agency roles, with ten years within the beverage industry. Prior to Merlin, James spent nearly eight years at Diageo in both global and regional positions including as IR Director, External Comms Director and Communications & Sustainability Director for Diageo Africa. He previously worked in communications at SABMiller.

Lynsey joined the HEINEKEN UK' Management Team in June 2021, following three years as Head of UK Legal and Company Secretary, during which time she contributed significantly to the development of the Legal function, focusing on providing proactive guidance and best-in-class legal support across the business. Lynsey joined HEINEKEN UK in January 2012 from a leading commercial law firm, having undertaken several secondments to legal teams in large complex businesses across the UK.

Radovan joined HEINEKEN UK as Finance Director in September 2016. Prior to this he was Senior Regional Director Finance Americas from 2013, leading the regional Finance function in a period of quick-fire business expansion and transformation. Radovan has also held the role of Finance Director in our Slovakian, Hungarian and Polish HEINEKEN companies. Before joining HEINEKEN, Radovan worked for over five years with KPMG as Senior Audit Manager.

In February 2020 Michael joined the UK Management Team as Marketing Director. Prior to this Michael worked in a number of roles across the Marketing function including Cider Brand Director, Marketing Strategy & Planning Director and Director Data Driven Commerce and Market Intelligence. Before joining HEINEKEN Michael spent 10 years with Procter & Gamble in international marketing roles and three years with Premier foods in the UK.

Stephen, who joined the HEINEKEN UK Management Team in July 2019, has over 25 years’ experience across various Sales & Marketing roles with 17 years spent working specifically in Beers, Wines and Spirits. Stephen joined HEINEKEN UK in May 2018 in the role of Trading Director (North) where he made a significant impact in a short period of time to turn around On Trade performance in the region. Before joining HEINEKEN Stephen worked across a number of FMCG companies, including Coca-Cola, Mars, ABInBev, Pernod Ricard and most recently Whyte & Mackay.

Jonathan joined the Management Team in July 2020, having spent the last 11 years with HEINEKEN UK in a number of senior commercial leadership roles across the Off Trade including Trading Director. His 26 years’ experience in the drinks industry, across both on-trade and off-trade, ranges from time with Bass Brewers, Molson Coors, Ubevco Distributors and prior to joining Heineken, as Sales Director of Tiger Beer UK.
An MBA graduate of Nottingham University, Jonathan lives in Yorkshire with his wife and two sons.
