Social Sustainability

Our path to an inclusive, fair and equitable world.

Embracing DE&I

We believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion. We know that when our colleagues bring their true selves to work, it enables us to better understand our customers and consumers and make informed decisions.

We're committed to increasing gender balance, aiming for at least 30% of senior management roles to be held by women by 2025, increasing to 40% by 2030. Our Women & Allies Network promotes a gender-balanced workplace and supports the progress of talented women in the business.

We'll keep working to create a fully inclusive organisation where all colleagues feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work.

Inclusive Leadership

Fostering inclusive leadership is vital to building an inclusive culture and, as such, to HEINEKEN UK’s continued success. We’ve identified nine key focus areas  including making it safe for others, being transparent, communicating inclusively and shaping and delivering as a team. We’re rolling out workshops based on each of these topics for all our People Managers.

A Friendly Face, a Helping Hand

We’re a business built on social connections and Brewing the Joy of True Togetherness to inspire a better world is our purpose. Since 2016, our Brewing Good Cheer campaign has been supporting communities by bringing them together in one of our pubs for a lunch and some good company.  We encourage people to come together and create moments that matter over a beer or a cider, in our pubs or at home. That’s why we’ve partnered with Marmalade Trust, a charity with a mission aligned to our purpose. Together, we’ll be building on the work we’ve done, bringing thousands of people together in one of our pubs. So far, our colleagues have raised over £73,000 for Marmalade Trust.

A Positive Impact in Our Communities

As a business, we encourage our colleagues to do what they can to support their local community. Each year, colleagues are entitled to up to three days of paid leave so they can volunteer. On top of this, we support colleague fundraising by matching what they raise up to £500.
