Amstel goes low-cal with the launch of Amstel '66

Amstel® has unveiled its first low-calorie alternative, Amstel ’66. Carefully crafted to maintain the refreshing Amstel flavour the UK knows and loves, Amstel ’66 is 3% ABV and contains 66 calories per bottle.

Complimenting the core Amstel® offering, Amstel ’66 is a full-flavoured beer without taste compromise. By offering a great-tasting beer alternative with fewer calories, drinkers can enjoy good times over a beer whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Nic Casby, Brand Director, comments: “In recent years consumers have become increasingly more conscious of the food and drink they consume, and as a result have started moving towards lower-calorie options. The launch of Amstel ’66 provides more choice – the great taste of Amstel at 66 calories.

Amstel is experiencing 26% growth in the off-trade, with a total worth of £43m [1].

Amstel ’66 is currently available exclusively in selected Sainsbury’s stores in 4x300ml and 12x300ml packs.
