HEINEKEN UK NAMED AS BRITAIN’S MOST ADMIRED BEVERAGES AND DRINKS COMPANY

The UK’s leading beer, cider and pub company, HEINEKEN UK, has today been named as Britain’s Most Admired Company in the beverages and drinks sector.

The recognition is a huge vote of confidence for the company which has consistently performed well over several years and received a Silver award last year.

Britain’s Most Admired Companies, run by Echo Research in partnership with the London Stock Exchange, is the UK’s longest-running and only peer-reviewed survey of corporate reputation and is now in its 36th year.

Boudewijn Haarsma, Managing Director of HEINEKEN UK, said: “The recognition from our peers reflects the quality of our brands, the strength of our customer partnerships and the dedication of our people.  We’ll keep raising the bar - brewing great beer and cider, expanding choice in no‑ and low‑alcohol, and investing to help our customers grow, while running a responsible business that reduces its environmental impact and creates long‑term value. My thanks to all my colleagues across the UK who make that ambition real every day.”

This year’s study gathered insight from more than 350 CEOs, C-suite directors, financial analysts and City commentators, who assessed 260 leading UK companies across 28 sectors. Companies are rated against 13 drivers of corporate reputation, including quality of products and services, competitiveness, clarity of strategy, financial soundness, environmental responsibility and long-term value potential. All self-scores are excluded from the analysis.

This recognition cements Heineken UK as a benchmark in the sector - reflecting strong governance, the focus on attracting and developing great people, and the organisation’s ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental footprint.

Sandra Macleod, Group CEO at Echo Research, said: “Securing a first sector gold is a significant achievement and reflects growing peer confidence in Heineken UK. It underlines the strength of their reputation among those closest to performance in the sector.”
